We are very excited about the launch this month of Louth – History and Society: Interdisciplinary essays on the history of an Irish County.

This book is the 30th in the county History and Society series published by Geography Publications. It contains thirty-three interdisciplinary essays and is edited by Emeritus Professor William Nolan of UCD.

There will be two launches hosted by Geography Publications with the support of Louth County Council and the Society.

The first will be held at 7pm on Thursday 23 November 2023 in County Hall at the Millennium Centre in Dundalk (A91 KFW6), where the book will be launched by Professor Terence Dooley (History Department, Maynooth University).

The second event will be at 7.30pm on Thursday 30 November 2023 in the Boyne Valley Hotel, Dublin Road, Drogheda (A92 EY89), where the book will be launched by Emeritus Professor Gabriel Cooney (Celtic Archaeology, UCD), MRIA.
