Due to the continuing pandemic, we weren’t able to organise any outings this summer. The joint hon. secretary, Seamus Bellew, has put together a virtual ramble to places of interest along the Ardee Road out of Dundalk including the G.N.R railway works, Brookville House, St Margaret’s House, Brookfield House, Macardles Brewery, the Workhouse, the Fever Hospital, the Sidella and Brewery Pass and the post-Famine (workhouse) graveyard at Killaly opened in 1853.
