The speaker for our second Spring lecture is Dr Eamon Darcy who will be speaking about Drogheda in the seventeenth century.
Eamon’s PhD thesis investigated the 1641 rebellion in Ireland. He was the recipient of a postdoctoral award to research Oral and Literate Culture in Early Modern Ireland. He is the author of The Irish Rebellion of 1641 and the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, published in 2013, and he co-edited The 1641 Depositions and the Irish Rebellion with Dr Elaine Murphy and Dr Annaleigh Margey. He is currently based at Maynooth University.
The lecture will be held in the Boyne Valley Hotel in Drogheda (Eircode A92 EY89) on TBD at 8 p.m.
