Recent dugout boat discoveries in the River Boyne: New insights to Drogheda’s commercial heritage

A lecture about the recent dugout boat discoveries in the River Boyne, which provide new insight into Drogheda’s early commercial heritage. The lecture will be presented by Dr Niall Gregory with a contribution from Anthony Murphy.

Dr Niall Gregory is a professional archaeologist and an expert on Irish dugout boats.

Anthony Murphy is a Drogheda based journalist, author and astronomer. His ‘Dronehenge’ discoveries in 2018 attracted international attention; the Boyne dugout boats are his latest drone find.

The lecture will be held on Tuesday 23 November 2021 at 7.30 p.m.
